Who doesn’t love soft modern paintings of people. It is calm, beautiful non offensive and something that you can stare at for hours wondering what the story is.

This new series, being the Bodyline paintings are inspired by you, me, your next door neighbour, your friend, your family etc. It is a painting series or an art of people, about the story of all of us, everyday people and the challenges and triumphs of love.

The first in this series is a very trendy stylish painting that mixes charcoal with acrylic paints and other media to provide a slightly textured outcome. Charcoal is used to loosely outline a striking female figure that is prominent front and centre with a confident, strong presence.

The pose and confidence are deliberate as this woman is a model, a woman who has striking features and beauty that you cant help but admire her. She has style, pizazz and a sense of character about her without being overbearing.

Beautiful soft pastel colours mark the womans body and features providing a soft calm relaxing aura. Shades of blue are prominent within the painting with accents of pink, taupe and grey to compliment one another.

You will find my work is generally more abstract figurative in nature, but I often also delve back to painting straight abstract. In fact ,most years I create a new series for my portfolio, encompassing a different theme and style to other years. I love this fun freedom of being able to paint what comes naturally. To see what wonderful ride my imagination takes me on each series. This allows my true spirit to shine and create the right energy for each work I create. After all life is too short to be boring to paint the same style over and over, so lets jazz it up a bit!

Although my work is often a real statement piece capturing your senses with a stunning visual experience, I want you to experience more than just beauty. I want you to feel the story behind the strokes of paint. I want to take you on an emotional, connective journey with my arts powerful story.
