Our latest on trend painting for art collectors named “Wind of Change” is a beautiful contemporary art piece that will feature in the exhibition by Abstract Artist Sarah Jane at the Intercontinental Adelaide

We have a real love for all things modern and contemporary and for those art collectors that also love such works, this large painting will be a must to add to the collection.

This painting that is 101cm tall by 152cm wide was based around a paint colour that we hadn’t used before, steel blue. Using a new colour is always an exciting time for an artist, to actually see what transpires and what other colours meld well. We got the right balance with this painting with the prominent blue providing a calm peaceful vision with a touch of tan to not only outline a figure but to add a touch of warmth in order that the painting wasn’t cold and the story lost.

The story of this piece is about life and the change that is always amongst us. To represent the change going on around us we used a focal point of a woman sitting down as the constant, with inks used in a sweeping direction in the fashion of wind to represent the variable.

You will find my work is generally more abstract figurative in nature, but I often also delve back to painting straight abstract. In fact ,most years I create a new series for my portfolio, encompassing a different theme and style to other years. I love this fun freedom of being able to paint what comes naturally. To see what wonderful ride my imagination takes me on each series. This allows my true spirit to shine and create the right energy for each work I create. After all life is too short to be boring to paint the same style over and over, so lets jazz it up a bit!

Although my work is often a real statement piece capturing your senses with a stunning visual experience, I want you to experience more than just beauty. I want you to feel the story behind the strokes of paint. I want to take you on an emotional, connective journey with my arts powerful story. Afterall a piece that resonates with us reminds us just how alive we are and often my work is attached to a strong message.
