Artwork Description

As a teenager I spent hours stargazing. I was so keen to see the craters in the moon through my little telescope. Waiting for shooting stars so I could make a wish. Learn all the constellations. I tried to capture time laps photographs of the moving sky by placing bluetac on the button of my SLR camera (many times someone would let the dog out and she would fly into the tripod knocking it over).

I like to combine my love of figurative drawing with with abstract memories. I used intuitive layers and negative space to blend them together making them one.

Image is A3 with a 6mm boarder making it possible to frame yourself with an off the shelf frame.

Artist Bio

Hello, Thank you for taking a look at my profile.
I reconnected with my creative side during covid as a way to feed my soul and keep me grounded.
Many years had passed since I pick up a paint brush and created art just for myself, simply for the joy of it. Its been so meditative and freeing.
I studied surface design and print at university in London. A move to Perth began a career in the print industry, then life changed again and currently I'm raising our young family.
I decided to brush up on my skills and become a student again, learning realistic oil painting and fundamentals with Evolve.
Along side this I’m also a member of the Art of Flow creative community. Each week we create intuitive, abstract art using mixed media.

Right now I've combined my love of figurative drawing and print with with abstract memories or scenes.
