Contradictory Mindset

I wanted to create a piece that was impactful at first glance and that really draws the audience in to see the layers and texture this piece embodies. I needed to get really vulnerable and raw with my emotions to channel this piece through me to allow for these movements to come to life. ( as seen in the youtube video I created for this piece) The title was inspired by how each side of the painting is pushing and pulling with the other, having the free open movements of the splatter contrasting the structured half circle on the other. This piece will liven up any space and is a wonderful conversation starter.
