Curious Cactus

We live in a curious society, where information is at our fingertips, ChatGPT has become our go-to, and our lives are laid bare on social media for the world to see.

‘Curious Cactus’ was inspired by the innate curiosity that resides in all of us—constantly scrolling through social media, watching the lives of others unfold before us, day and night.

The painting showcases a group of cacti with vibrant red flower buds, each one appearing alert and attentive, as if keenly observing the world around them. It’s a vivid, colour-popping piece that mirrors the curiosity and constant vigilance of modern life.

I am a contemporary artist and fashion-designer living in Melbourne. I love working with bright colour combinations and interesting compositions. My preferred subject is fruit or flowers, as I believe mother-nature is the ultimate artist and trying to replicate the textures, colours and shadows is always a unique and beautiful experience for me. I love painting with purples, blues, aquas and turquoise.
