Bubblegum Sunset

My Clouds series is an ongoing process that I use as a mental palette cleanser between larger works. They are all on the same size canvas and I generally just paint whatever clouds I have seen that made me stop for a minute to stare at the sky. Sometimes I add phantasmical colours, other times I may choose to desaturate them. I go with my own whims and apply the paint in whatever fashion I feel like at the time. Clouds of all shapes and sizes make me happy.

Sarah takes great inspiration from her surrounding environment. She enjoys painting en plein air at her local beaches. She prefers to use watercolour and gouache for her plein air works and either gouache or acrylic for her studio pieces.
