Artwork Description

This mixed media painting explores themes of companionship, belonging, and hope through a series of bird cameos. Pairs of Eastern Rosellas, Scarlet Robins, and White-plumed Honeyeaters share quiet moments together, while a solitary Regent Honeyeater stands apart, reflecting the challenges faced by this endangered species as its population continues to decline.

An original artwork painted for the children’s book Sunny Finds His Song, the image gently contrasts love and loneliness, inviting reflection on the importance of conserving the habitats and connections that enable Australia's native birds to thrive.

Eastern Rosella, Scarlet Robin, Regent Honeyeater, White Plumed Honeyeater Birds.
