Gardens always help one relax from a busy day, more so when visited by a feathered friend. Native Australian birds can bring more life to a garden. This one was busy sipping the nectar and pollinating the next flowers of the kangaroo paw. The flower's colours complemented the rainbow lorikeet's plumage and was too perfect not to capture into a painting.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
I have enjoyed art as a child but my love for painting was sparked almost by accident. I moved to Hong Kong in 2007 with my husband, who gifted me with an oil painting set. I joined art workshops taught by UK artist Eleanor McColl. I found camaraderie and joy in painting with like-minded artists in these classes. This helped fuel my interest to continue drawing and painting. My mother was a Fine Arts graduate and an art teacher. My passion must have come from her but lay dormant as I studied and then pursued a career in commerce. My background in marketing, digital, social media and art have become an exciting mix of left brain, right brain use.
In 2010, I moved to Australia and discovered a new love, watercolour. I take pleasure in capturing mood and light in landscapes, hidden pathways, alleys, street corners and the beautiful wildlife and nature abundant in the country. I find inspiration when I travel or during weekend adventures.
My works are in private collections in Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, the Philippines, across the USA, and Australia.
