Kicking Up Dust

Elephants have always been my favour since a child. I spent 5 weeks in Thailand as a volunteer, mucking out, watching them play ball in the lake. I love every aspect of them and this is one of them. A colourful and fun semi abstract painting of one angle of an elephant. This art does have the beginning of another painting on the back which does not affect the original painting. The painting has been priced accordingly because of this.
The painting comes with a mat and UNFRAMED so you may frame to suit your decor. It is shipped in a plastic covering and wrapped in a cardboard flat package.
It is signed on the front and will be delivered with my artist’s Certificate of Authenticity.

Watercolour has always been my preferred medium. No other medium gives me that ‘zing’, that magic moment, when colour kisses colour and takes on its own energy turning into, mostly, a joyful outcome. I also enjoy drawing.

I have had no formal training as such except a few workshops, one being 2 weeks in Italy. I always preferred to take on my own journey, to get lost in the process and let each painting take on its own energy. Being a Gemini I tend to move from detailed works, to free flow form. Colour and patterns are what attracts me to any subject.

I have won many awards from Highly Commended to Champion at Woodford Agriculture Show and Woodford Art Gallery Exhibition. I have also sold many paintings from galleries in my area. For me it’s more about the magic of watercolour.
