Artwork Description

A luminous, atmospheric colour-field dream in soft turquoise, sage green, rose-magenta and whispers of coral. Gentle, flowing forms glide across the canvas like quiet rivers of light, interconnected by delicate white pathways that feel both organic and meditative. The heavily textured surface catches the light beautifully, revealing subtle scratches, marks and layered history with every glance.
Calm yet alive with subtle energy, this piece brings a sense of deep peace and gentle movement to any space — perfect above a bed, in a reading nook, or as a serene focal point in a living room. Totally inspired from our family walks along Australia’s beautiful coastal beaches

Artist Bio

Schahan (Sharnie) Marriott was born in Queensland, Australia in 1975. With a mixture of Portuguese, Mauritius and Scottish blood spanning from all corners of the globe, travel, culture and adventure are very much a part of Sharnie’s personality and inspiration in life. She spent her earlier years of childhood living in Tasmania and Sydney before finally settling down in the South East suburbs of Melbourne where she was able to immerse in her studies in Drama and the Arts, and was inspired by the works of Dali, Klimt and Van Gough. She had a sharp eye for design and went on to complete her Visual arts Degree in 2001 where she majored in photography. While she continued to explore her passion in the arts she also went on to study early learning education where she has been working in Primary school education for over 17 years. Finding an abundance of inspiration from the imaginations of children, she draws from their sense of freedom to explore the world through fresh eyes and without pre conceded notions of the way the world is supposed to be, but rather how you see yourself in the world.
Always looking at the glass as half full and finding gratitude in every day, Schahan keeps a youthful attitude towards life and her work.
Schahan carefully balances herself between traveling, interior designing and a steady flow of commission based work from her home based studio in Bayside Melbourne.
