I paint under the name Lilly Pilly Inspirations in honour of my daughter. My uncle who is now an elder gave my daughter the nickname Lilly Pilly. I am from the Wadi Wadi tribe of the Yuin nation. The Yuin people originate on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. My father grew up on the Aboriginal mission at Wreck Bay, a small community by the ocean. It is from here that I draw my inspiration and have been painting since 2008. Using acrylics I strive to capture my connection to Australian wildlife in my art.
