I stumbled across the story of Toorittya when looking up the different types of Wattle bird found in Australia. A Tasmanian Aboriginal story, it explains how the Wattle bird came to look and sound the way it does today. With this in mind, I have brought Toorittya to life on canvas, capturing the bird's spirit and wariness as it waits to see what unfolds, now that it has been freed.
Created with premium acrylic paints on stretched cotton canvas, this painting comes pine framed and brings a splash of colour to any room.
