This is a painting of a story my mum used to tell me when we went out hunting.
There is a Mamu (monster) that threw a spear from north all the way to a place East of Kaltukatjara called Tjunti. It cut a lizard in half, just on the other side of Lasseter's cave. All the kids heard that story of that Mamu and they were really frightened. This canvas is a painting of those kids following around a Ngangkari (traditional healer) for protection while the Mamu is following them.
