Influenced by a trip up to Port Douglas and surrounding areas, I witnessed the burning of sugar-cane.
I was touched with the beauty of destruction, the fire, the smoke and the tranquility of the lake.
This piece would look wonderful in any lounge room.
I hope it can be enjoyed as much as I do.

Artist Bio
Selwyn has been a painter and potter for 50 plus years. Commencing his practice in Cape Town, South Africa, the last 30 years he's been based in Melbourne, Australia.
His ceramic and pottery work has now been set aside for his sole focus in painting.
Selwyn strives to paint in as primitive a style as he can, but with sophistication paying special attention to form and colour. His happiest moments are when a painting of his touches your soul.
In the past Selwyn has exhibited his work in the Como Art Gallery in Toorak and Delshan Art Gallery in High Street, Malvern.
Both of these galleries had success in selling his paintings.
It would be helpful and appreciated if you could give feedback on how you felt after viewing his work either by hone or email
