Artist Bio

Sergio Paul Ianniello is a professional artist based in Brisbane, Australia. Figures and portraits within landscapes form the foundation of his work. Using acrylic paint for its versatility, he combines lively complementary colours to create luminosity, depth, and visual energy. His style is grounded in expressive realism with Fauvist influences. His most distinctive paintings incorporate pareidolic imagery within abstract forms, blurring the boundary between representation and imagination while reflecting the personal nature of perception.
Sergio's artistic process begins with a desire to create emotive and visually engaging images. Rather than starting with a fixed concept, ideas often emerge organically through the manipulation of shape, colour and composition. His paintings may range from quirky interpretations of cultural icons to reflections on beauty, transience, memory and aspects of the human psyche. Regardless of subject matter, his primary aim is to create a sense of connection and aesthetic enjoyment.
Sergio has received awards for his work, has exhibited in numerous Brisbane galleries and has been selected as a finalist in a range of art competitions. His paintings and drawings are held in private collections throughout Australia and internationally.
All his paintings are on professional-quality canvas, stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang. He uses high-quality paint and media during the painting process to maintain the beautiful colours and longevity of his work. His paintings come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Delivery of his work is insured and professionally packaged with thick bubble wrap in a sturdy cardboard box.
