Artwork Description

It Takes a Village is inspired by the power of community. Together we can achieve amazing things! The gingerbread houses in Woollahra and the local parks and gardens inspired the style of the ‘village’.
The painting also references my journey of my art career - it is not possible to do alone. I am so grateful of the relationships I have made with other artists and makers, my customers and most of all the support and encouragement I am lucky to receive from family and friends to pursue my passion for my creative career. We can not do it alone!

Artist Bio

Shana Danon is an artist and surface designer who creates vibrant paintings and prints from her Bondi studio, Emilio Frank Design.

Shana's work celebrates colour with the intention to evoke joyful energy and create happy memories.

Growing up in a family of artists, encouraged Shana to create with various media, including acrylics, pencil, ink, digital brushes and block printing.
