Artist statement:
"Billie" is one of my first ballpoint pen drawings. During the time of drawing this in early 2020, I was still experimenting with shading techniques and compositional elements.

I selected to draw Billie Eilish after listening to Bad Guy on repeat for weeks. I was inspired by this new and interesting direction in music she was paving. I was surprised at how much the song resonated with me long after I had stopped listening to it.

"Billie" was drawn with a ballpoint pen in my art journal. The artwork has been carefully prepared to be framed.
