Artwork Description

Artist statement:

“This work is about being forgotten. With each scrape of my rubber, a part of this woman was removed from existence.”

A strong part of my art practice is to journal my thoughts, feelings and experiences. This particular drawing was drawn with high quality Staedtler pencils in my Moleskine journal. The paper is thin and slightly translucent giving it a beautifully smooth surface for developing tone and fine details.

This artwork was exhibited in my solo exhibition, 'Mid-sentence' at Gatakers Artspace in Maryborough, QLD from April - May, 2022.

Frame specs:
- A custom blue mat was made for this artwork to fit in with a body of work that were all framed the same
- The frame size is a standard 11x14" photo frame so you can easily reframe with a frame of your choice to suit your decor. The frame has an oak wood look with an inner white rim. D hooks are attached on the back.
