The Johnson river runs through my hometown Innisfail, in North Queensland. This is where I was raised. The river is represented by the red lines running left to right to the mouth of the river and on to the sea. The white lines represent walkabout lines that people take to and from the river. The river, with its fish and it’s crocodiles is an important part of our community. My mother was a Birri Birri Women From North Queensland and my father is a Southsea Island man from Ambrym Island
