Voyager captures a solitary crossing — a quiet departure into the unknown. A single figure sits in a small vessel, suspended between dark waters and an infinite night sky. There is no clear destination, only forward motion guided by intuition, faith, or necessity.
I’m drawn to the emotional weight of open space. The sea becomes a psychological landscape, the sky a mirror of inner thought. Stars scatter like possibilities, distant and unreachable yet quietly reassuring. The simplicity of the figure allows the viewer to step in — to become the traveller themselves.
This painting reflects my ongoing interest in isolation, hope, and the courage it takes to move forward without certainty. Voyager is about trusting the journey, even when the shore behind you has disappeared and the one ahead is not yet visible.
