The Frozen Ocean

This is a very unique artwork, that would bring life to any room. I have a printmaking background, which I try to bring into all of my creative outlets.
This painting was made from many mono-prints overlapping each other, creating one large, cohesive creation. Acrylic paint was the main medium to create the background, but then I glued various glitters and diamanté’s to help give this painting texture and depth.
From whichever direction this painting is seen from, the light shines on all of the glitters and diamanté’s, creating beautiful and colourful reflections.

Traditionally a printmaker (etchings in particular), I love creating anything that celebrates form and texture. My latest ventures have taken me into the world of mixed media paintings, which use mono-printing practices that are vibrant in colour, with non-traditional materials such as glitters and diamanté’s.
The process of creating a piece of art brings me such joy and a sense of accomplishment, and so I hope I too can bring that happiness to someone else.
