The pink finch

This is an acrylic painting of a small, beautiful pink finch. She is nestled amongst different glitters that help to reflect her pretty colouring, of pinks and browns and white. When hung on the wall the glitters shine brilliantly in different lights, with the silver leafing surrounding accenting everything perfectly.
This painting would hang in any room perfectly, with its textural and light sensitive surfaces making it stand out, despite its size.

Traditionally a printmaker (etchings in particular), I love creating anything that celebrates form and texture. My latest ventures have taken me into the world of mixed media paintings, which use mono-printing practices that are vibrant in colour, with non-traditional materials such as glitters and diamanté’s.
The process of creating a piece of art brings me such joy and a sense of accomplishment, and so I hope I too can bring that happiness to someone else.
