Artwork Description

The main influence behind this piece is nature. Initially purple does not spring to the mind as 'nature' however, a walk on the beach revealed a purple shell, the sunset revealed that beautiful hue of purple and I realised that purple is nature. Paired with red you have this real palpable feel of passion and strength - natures main points.

Artist Bio

Shannon's work have an edge that has has caught eyes globally and has led her to be publicised in House & Garden UK, GQ and Vanity Fair.

Shannon's work uses texture and colour to create pieces that have mystery and movement. She takes her inspiration from nature and paints intuitively. She allows herself to be immersed in the process of creating lines and shapes that work together to create a seamless piece that flows naturally and allows the eye to gaze upon the multiple layers of pattern.

The aim of Shannon's art is to create wonder and provoke the senses, what you see in each creation is entirely what the mind creates, from the magic of the pattern and depth.

With the deep connection to nature she also enjoys capturing the Australian landscape and has a fascination with space, occasionally releasing a small amount of photographic prints.
