Artwork Description

This Artwork depicts that there are gradients and alternate perspectives - far from the black and white, categories and boxes that society likes to place on us. The reality of humans, nature and so forth is quite the opposite.

A stark reminder to live boldly, to be full of vigour and passion.

Shannon's work have an edge that has has caught eyes globally and has led her to be publicised in House & Garden UK, GQ and Vanity Fair.

Shannon's work uses texture and colour to create pieces that have mystery and movement. She takes her inspiration from nature and paints intuitively. She allows herself to be immersed in the process of creating lines and shapes that work together to create a seamless piece that flows naturally and allows the eye to gaze upon the multiple layers of pattern.

The aim of Shannon's art is to create wonder and provoke the senses, what you see in each creation is entirely what the mind creates, from the magic of the pattern and depth.

With the deep connection to nature she also enjoys capturing the Australian landscape and has a fascination with space, occasionally releasing a small amount of photographic prints.
