This artwork is based on a photograph that sparks a feeling of nostalgia. It shows a child doing something purely for the joy it brings without a care for what others may think. I feel like staring at it gives a chance for us to pause and reflect on what is important in life - joy, wherever that may be.

I’m an Australian based artist whose love of coloured pencils didn’t stop in preschool! I have been taking art more seriously for the last three years, but I began teaching myself how to draw over ten years ago. I have experience with oil paints and acrylics, however, I now primarily produce art using prismacolour pencils.

Until recently I have drawn only as a hobby but am looking to branch out and make a business out of something that brings me a lot of joy.
