Artwork Description

Step into this serene yet vibrant scene of flowering Japanese Cherry trees running along the river path. Painted with luscious, rich oil paints, this painting is very true to the colours and energy I experienced while travelling Japan in Spring earlier this year.
Expressive, bold brushstrokes and pallet knife marks evoke the sense of energy and capture the wonder that is part of the joy of walking in nature at its prettiest.

This deep edged stretched canvas is ready to hang and the painting continues around all edges. If you prefer framing, BlueThumb offers contemporary box frame options which would look amazing.

Comes varnished with a Certificate Of Authenticity from this BlueThumb ‘Pro’ Artist.
NB: In room pictures show indicative proportions.

Artist Bio

Words like 'joyful' and 'vibrant' are used often to describe Sharon DeSailly's contemporary paintings. Use of brilliant colours in oils and acrylics, and bold texture are recognisable elements in her style. So is her great love of the Australian countryside and way of life. As a full time artist living in Bayside, Melbourne, as well as being an avid traveller within Australia and abroad, she finds abundant inspiration and drive to pay tribute to the beauty surrounding us in our everyday life. Through her paintings, the viewer is invited to step into each scene to 'be there' in an almost tactile way.

DeSailly's contemporary impressionist approach lends itself to any subject. Her gallery transports the viewer from the long distance perspective of a vivid seaside sunset, to highly textured trees against the intense rich hues and powerful rock formations in outback Australia; to beautiful fragrant flowers in riotous cottage gardens; to a koala clinging to a gum tree, or a flock of playful cockatoos.

Paintings by Sharon DeSailly celebrate all living beauty. Through her original works of art, DeSailly brings joy into the homes and lives of collectors across Australia and in several countries around the world. She is recognised as a Featured Pro Artist on BlueThumb and exhibits at art shows around the country. Sharon is Vice President of the Brighton Art Society.
