Artwork Description

Seasons come and go, flowers bloom, birds nest and there is beauty all around us. This book cover is a nod to nature; an acknowledgement that the natural world continues to be beautiful and inspirational. We are blessed to live in this amazing country.

The cheeky Sulphur Crested Cockatoo is surrounded by Spring blooms including purple wisteria, hot pink proteas, wattle, kangaroo paw, flannel and other native flowers all painted on a grey book cover shape, with black background. This is a deep edged canvas, ready to hang. This is a delightful, happy work of art that would look great in either home or office. It would also look great hanging together with its Rainbow Lorikeet compliment as shown in the pictures on this listing.

Comes ready to hang with a Certificate Of Authenticity.

Artist Bio

Words like 'joyful' and 'vibrant' are used often to describe Sharon DeSailly's contemporary paintings. Use of brilliant colours in oils and acrylics, and bold texture are recognisable elements in her style. So is her great love of the Australian countryside and way of life. As a full time artist living in Bayside, Melbourne, as well as being an avid traveller within Australia and abroad, she finds abundant inspiration and drive to pay tribute to the beauty surrounding us in our everyday life. Through her paintings, the viewer is invited to step into each scene to 'be there' in an almost tactile way.

DeSailly's contemporary impressionist approach lends itself to any subject. Her gallery transports the viewer from the long distance perspective of a vivid seaside sunset, to highly textured trees against the intense rich hues and powerful rock formations in outback Australia; to beautiful fragrant flowers in riotous cottage gardens; to a koala clinging to a gum tree, or a flock of playful cockatoos.

Paintings by Sharon DeSailly celebrate all living beauty. Through her original works of art, DeSailly brings joy into the homes and lives of collectors across Australia and in several countries around the world. She is recognised as a Featured Pro Artist on BlueThumb and exhibits at art shows around the country. Sharon is Vice President of the Brighton Art Society.
