It is open to the elements with wide, foamy waves that stretch endlessly out to a deep blue sea. In the bottom third, deep blue and turquoise ocean waves sweep from the right, curving along the beach to a narrow rocky outcrop in the distance.
The sky clouds are curving, dynamic and dramatically coloured. At the very top is a hazy soft greeny blue, quickly melting into sweeps of orange, pink and yellow across the top third of the painting. It’s like looking through a porthole or a camera lens.
