Artwork Description

Trees often feature in my paintings to symbolize new life and moving forward with hope.
Soft distant light draws you into this forest, across the richly detailed forest floor and onto the sunlit path.
How could anyone feel less than hopeful in this gentle contemporary impressionist landscape?

Finished with oils over acrylic underpainting, the scene continues around all sides. This large treescape will bring a peaceful yet striking focal point into any setting. It is painted on a high quality, cross braced deep edged canvas.

Ready to hang, discreetly signed on the front left and varnished for protection, it comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity from this BlueThumb β€˜Pro’ Artist.
NB: In room photos show indicative proportions.

Artist Bio

Words like 'joyful' and 'vibrant' are used often to describe Sharon DeSailly's contemporary paintings. Use of brilliant colours in oils and acrylics, and bold texture are recognisable elements in her style. So is her great love of the Australian countryside and way of life. As a full time artist living in Bayside, Melbourne, as well as being an avid traveller within Australia and abroad, she finds abundant inspiration and drive to pay tribute to the beauty surrounding us in our everyday life. Through her paintings, the viewer is invited to step into each scene to 'be there' in an almost tactile way.

DeSailly's contemporary impressionist approach lends itself to any subject. Her gallery transports the viewer from the long distance perspective of a vivid seaside sunset, to highly textured trees against the intense rich hues and powerful rock formations in outback Australia; to beautiful fragrant flowers in riotous cottage gardens; to a koala clinging to a gum tree, or a flock of playful cockatoos.

Paintings by Sharon DeSailly celebrate all living beauty. Through her original works of art, DeSailly brings joy into the homes and lives of collectors across Australia and in several countries around the world. She is recognised as a Featured Pro Artist on BlueThumb and exhibits at art shows around the country. Sharon is Vice President of the Brighton Art Society.
