Original Artwork's Description

Giant trees stretch towards the distant light through a forest springing to life with lush leaves and wildflowers. This contemporary, abstract impressionist painting captures an inviting forest landscape with wonderful gentle light calling us to peek through the heavily textured, colourful trees and look deeper into the detailed background. The colour pallet is exciting and modern, with complexity and interesting details that draw the viewer into the scene. At the same time, this combination brings a calm sense of nature’s beauty into the room.

Combining multiple layers of acrylics and oils and continuing around all sides, this extra large painting will bring a striking focal point into any setting. Ready to hang, discreetly signed on the front and varnished for protection, it comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity. It is painted on top quality, deep edged, double stapled canvas with cross bracing for stability.

Artist Bio

Words like 'joyful' and 'vibrant' are used often to describe Sharon DeSailly's contemporary paintings. Use of brilliant colours in oils and acrylics, and bold texture are recognisable elements in her style. So is her great love of the Australian countryside and way of life. As a full time artist living in Bayside, Melbourne, as well as being an avid traveller within Australia and abroad, she finds abundant inspiration and drive to pay tribute to the beauty surrounding us in our everyday life. Through her paintings, the viewer is invited to step into each scene to 'be there' in an almost tactile way.

DeSailly's contemporary impressionist approach lends itself to any subject. Her gallery transports the viewer from the long distance perspective of a vivid seaside sunset, to highly textured trees against the intense rich hues and powerful rock formations in outback Australia; to beautiful fragrant flowers in riotous cottage gardens; to a koala clinging to a gum tree, or a flock of playful cockatoos.

Paintings by Sharon DeSailly celebrate all living beauty. Through her original works of art, DeSailly brings joy into the homes and lives of collectors across Australia and in several countries around the world. She is recognised as a Featured Pro Artist on BlueThumb and exhibits at art shows around the country. Sharon is Vice President of the Brighton Art Society.
