About

CONTEMPORARY AUSTRALIAN ARTIST

In the last two years, Sharon England has launched onto the figurative art scene with her vibrant, detailed Map Series in 2017 and a more contemplative series Erased in 2018 which explored the heartache and frustration around Parental Alienation. She creates vivid, mostly large-scale works, that are a beautiful explosion of colour straight from her heart and soul.

Working with a range of mediums including graphite pencil, watercolours, spray paint, acrylic and oil paint, Sharon’s distinctive work often features bold, slightly stylised faces surrounded by with animals or objects that hold small clues, hinting at her subject’s personalities or sometimes the pain they are suffering.

Sharon England has recently moved her Bondi Studio to the inner Sydney suburb of Erskineville. She lives with her partner Paul, her 14 year old son Archie and her beloved cavoodle, Muppet.
