Three Worlds - Land

No 1 in a series of canvases inspired by the concept of Three Worlds - Land, Sea, Sky. This canvas is Land and features the colours and beings, both real and imaginary, that inhabit the world of Land. This mixed media piece would make a wonderful pop of colour and surprise on its own or purchase the set of three to create a collection of abstract pieces to cheer up any space.

For as long as I can remember I've been a creative soul and started making my mark as soon as I was old enough to hold a pencil. I've explored a truck load of art and craft forms and mediums and although not formally trained I've explored, experimented and learnt from many teachers over the years with nature, ancient symbolism and traditional world cultures being my strongest inspiration. I continue to make art in some way most days even if it's only making some marks and letting off steam in my journal and rather than being something I do creativity is a large part of who I am. Like me, my art continues to grow and evolve and my current favourites are mixed media on canvas and book making. In the past I have enjoyed a subdued almost antique looking colour palette but recently my palette has changed to include strong colours and my works now involves many layers of acrylic paint and mediums, paper collage, stamping and stencillling.
