Galaxy Gazer

Beneath the mesmerizing night sky, a simple blue and indigo ocean anchors the scene, before moving the eye to the night sky above. A particularly radiant star creates a sense of long lived constancy, rather than pulsation. My painting, with its unusual flow of colours, attempts to capture the imagination, with its dreamlike and almost otherworldly quality. Eventually, the mind is drawn to what might lie off in the great distance.
Overall, the painting seeks to convey a feeling of serenity and contemplation, yet still hinting at the potential of adventure. I invite the viewer to contemplate the beauty and mystery of the night sky and the human connection to the cosmos.

Sharon Lin is a Chinese Australian artist, whose multicultural upbringing has lead her to explore many painting styles.

Sharon's artistic pursuits has led her to travel to and reside in London for several years, regularly absorbing its many art galleries' offerings, before returning to Australia and further studying painting at Sydney's art schools. Over the years Sharon has developed an appreciation for classical and modern elegance in particular.

Sharon's work is often inspired by the natural world, and radiates a timeless elegance.
