"Life goes on"...that's what they say. And they're right. The world doesn't stop. But it just doesn't seem right that the world goes on when you're in the midst of loss and pain and grief.
Don't they know? Don't they understand? Don't they feel the heartbreak too? How do they just go on?
But they do. And we do too. Each moment becomes an hour which becomes a day which becomes a week which becomes a month and all of a sudden a year has gone by...life has gone on.
This emotive moody seascape was created around the anniversary of my dad's passing and all these moments came to mind as it was coming to life. His favourite place that he loved so much, my favourite place that I love so much - the coast. Where it's poignant that the tides keep on rising, the waves keep breaking, and the clouds keep passing by...just like life. It goes on.
Created with palette knives on stretched polycotton canvas, it is framed in a solid timber oak frame full of character and grain, is satin varnished, and comes with a COA.
