We tend to look down at the waves that break against us, overwhelmed by despair, and forget a vital truth: every storm eventually runs out of rain.

This small but powerful artwork is your reminder to look up. And look for the light. It captures that sacred, fragile boundary where the tempest begins to break, where dark, churning skies are forced to yield to light. The smallest flicker, the tiniest crack in the clouds, causes the deepest darkness to fade.

So this artwork is a quiet promise then; the rain will eventually stop, skies will clear...and that the light out of the darkest depths can be the most beautiful light of all."

Created with palette knives on high grade artist quality canvas, this artwork is framed in Whitewash Oak and comes satin varnished. It will come with a COA with the artist statement written on the back.

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
