Weekends Like These (Framed)

Weekends are for this...balmy beaches where coastal breezes dance across fresh aqua waters. Where a lazy sinking sun casts warm blush light on the headlands below. Where sandy shorelines meet meandering waters in coves and bays. It has me thinking of pink bikinis, peach Bellinis, and time with friends and family. Weekends like these are to be cherished, remembered, enjoyed...loved. 

When you can't get away for a weekend at the coast, this artwork invites you in to explore, reflect, pause and reminisce past weekends like these. And like me, it will have you looking forward to many more weekends like these in the future. Summer on a canvas!

Framed in a natural Ash timber frame, this pretty seascape created with palette knives on stretched poly cotton canvas, comes satin varnished to protect it for many years to come. It will come with a COA.

“…painting stories evoking light and hope.”

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
