Pineapple Happiness

This giant Pineapple simply makes me smile. It is bold. It is beautiful. It has energy. Can it get any better than that!
A while ago, I went through a study phase delving into David Bromley's artwork. I just loved his strong images and his ability to capture beauty in simplicity. He often used three or more simple painted panels behind his black and white paintings, where the panels showed through the image.
Pineapple Happiness is my version of what I see in his work.
I have also had a love affair with charcoal, and even thought this is not charcoal, I create a similar look using a water-soluble ink medium.
This is a fun piece with lots of movement.
