Artwork Description

Hopkins presents a silent portrayal of the lambs in this an evoking potrait of himself in a serious but thought provoking insight to his life.

Artist Bio

I have enjoyed art from a young age, when I was 6 I was first awarded a prize for a competition that displayed my work in the Dandenong Town Hall for a coloured drawing called Easter.
I continued with my art through my schooling and into VCE where my CAT work was displayed at the Mornington Regional Gallery for chosen students.
I found Art again at 43 years old reinvigorated by my partner a brilliant diverse well rounded and very competent artist.
A year ago I began Printmaking and found my passion for portraiture in Etchings and linocuts. In my first exhibition the Albert Park Art Show I won a students prize with a Curator’s Award for an Etching called ' Socrates '.
I intend to venture into my art by differentiating my art work so it is unique and different. I use intuition to make my lines and create my perspective of the subject matter with my own impression of how I design and view the world.
