Artist Bio

My name is Shaz, located on the Northern Beaches NSW
My beautiful daughter Sienna is also a upcoming artist with the love of abstract
I have been knitting and crocheting by age 8, scarves and beanies for the homeless in Sydney later turned into the love for fibre art and weaves
My main art subjects include acrylic flow painting, abstract , mixed media and ceramics
You will find my art to have beautiful textures that you can't resist touching.
I dabble in Gyotaku a Japanese art technique which comes from the love of octopus and also work on these in my ceramic sculptures
My inspiration comes from the love of the deep sea and the landscape, highlighting the coral reefs and its many textures
Fibres used in my weaving include 100% cotton , linen, hemp, specialty yarns, hessian, fibres , silk cocoons and clay from the earth
You can see one of my artworks in the Capella Hotel Sydney hanging proudly, also at other exhibitions across Sydney
