This is a composite photograph from the "Surreal Estates of the Tropical North" series of images of which there are 12.
The eclectic mix of architecture found in Far North Queensland has been used to create these new surreal buildings which are placed in an environment of less urban clutter, so one sees the architecture in a new light.
These are conversation starters, so great to have in your living room or hang as a set of 3 together. They have been named to reflect what their previous usage was or what they are now, combined with their environment.
Fantรดme Blanc = French for white ghost. The architect of the top right piece of architecture was Louis Severin from France. The old Adelaide Steamship Company, the Bollard Centre and the rooftop of the Central Hotel make up this almost "floating ship" of architecture.
