Artwork Description

This is two pieces. a diptych. It is unframed. It can be placed together or apart a little as shown in main picture. This piece has beautiful colour palette of various blues and warm reds oranges palette. I work in abstraction, my viewers on Instagram sometime give it titles. This one they told me appears like OPALS, also they idea of a The spiritual aspect of the work. The title is from JOB.

Artist Bio

Sheila Whittam is an Adelaide Hills artist, originally from Britain. She has had a long art career having had more than 20 solo exhibition in SA and Vict. She has a BA in visual arts from ACSA. As a tutor she designed a creative art course-which contributed to community wellbeing. She has been included in three finalist major art shows in recent times including the Kennedy art prize 2022, she also won a SALA award. Is confidently experimental in her approach to art making- using mixed media - oils cold wax , monotypes and encaustics. Her most recent works have translucent multiple layering and moving into contemporary ideas and abstraction.
