Shelby Connelly is an emerging artist based in Western Australia, dedicated to exploring and celebrating her creative practice. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Perth since 2001, Shelby has always been drawn to art. From her early school years, it was her favourite subject—a place of joy, curiosity, and expression.
Alongside her artistic journey, Shelby works in the creative industry as a marketing professional. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, majoring in Management and Marketing (2015).
Becoming a mother has reignited Shelby’s creative spark, inspiring her to see the world anew through her child’s eyes. This fresh perspective has deepened her appreciation for life’s small beauties and the meditative calm painting brings. Through her art, Shelby continues to experiment, play, and reconnect with the wonder of creativity.
