I had to travel and work in Auckland by myself for a while. Sometimes it got a bit lonely working away from home. Luckily it was in spring and I lived very close to the rose garden in Parnell. I had never seen so many varieties of roses and the blossoms and sweet scent of the roses were divine. Roses are part of my sweet memories of my life in New Zealand.
