Artwork Description

Acrylic on cardboard

Signed on the front.

It is a boatyard on the fringe of the little village that no one else seemed interested in, yet the beautiful sunset turned it into a treasure box for me. Painting materials literally at every corner. I love the old boats and the clutter around them :)

Another perfect autumn morning for plein air! Just love all the activities going around me in the Sydney harbour, sailing boats heading out to the sea, ferries scurrying towards the Opera house, fishermen pulling up the new catch…The stray cat downstairs had a litter of cute kittens. They venture out the den whenever the sun shines and I got to capture some nice photos of them. Love how playful they are, not a bit affected the tough living conditions. I am always moved by this little one looking up with such hope and sparkles in his eyes. It’s autumn again! Love how the colourful leaves surrounded this little dinghy in the bay.April is the best time to visit NZ South Island for its gorgeous autumn colours. And if you’ve ever been to lake Pukaki, you would be amazed by the unique turquoise colour of the glacier lake. When I bumped into this scene that autumn day, I felt like walking into Van Gogh’s dream.
