Artwork Description

I painted this when Orcas came in to Perth water to play near Rottnest. I did the different ocean currents with the muscles that are on the rocks around Rottnest and the design inside the Orca was my way of them talking to each other using body language and sound.

Artist Bio

My name is Sheree Morris and I am a salt water women from Yuin Country, Sth Coast NSW. My mob are the Cambell family and the Morris/Wright/Coombes families of the Anaiwan people of Walcha New England Region in NSW.
I have been painting only since 2018 when I joined an Aboriginal parents group at LaPerouse, Ngala Nanga Mai.
My story lines are from my childhood when my Dad would take me and the family hunting, camping and fishing. Now I do that with my own children in Perth WA since our move.
