Artwork Description

Five frangipani blooms lie scattered against a fresh blue ground, as if the storm has just passed. Some face upward, one turned over, catching that bright, washed moment when colour feels sharper and the air feels clean. The bold yellow centres and strong shadows give the flowers energy and lift.

Acrylic on canvas, 20 x 20 cm. Professionally presented in a 30 x 30 cm natural timber box frame. Ready to display, with a keyhole for mounting on a picture screw.

A refreshing, uplifting piece that brings light and clarity into a room β€” ideal for coastal interiors, entryways, or anywhere that needs a spark of brightness.

Artist Bio

BEYOND THE SEE

Sheree Glasson is a Sydney-born artist based on the harbour. She draws from places both lived and imagined, including her times living in western NSW, Canberra, and Latin America.

Her practice includes bold florals, harbour scenes and character-driven paintings such as the Breton Cat series. Known for strong composition, graphic line and confident colour, Sheree builds cohesive bodies of work that are clear, direct and designed to sit well in contemporary Australian homes.

Working across gouache, acrylic and occasional lino print, she is interested in simplifying form and using colour decisively. Whether painting a frangipani, a stretch of harbour water or a striped cat with a cup of coffee, her work is imaginative, energetic and expressive, while being grounded in observation and everyday life.
