Artwork Description

In modern society we have access to instant stimuli constantly, our phones for example. The
woman in the drawing is sitting, waiting and appears bored as she is not able to access a
device. However upon a closer look into her eyes, her “bored expression” sees more than
what is before her. When we remove our technology we begin to see the world again. We
find comfort in sitting, breathing and appreciating the beauty in the world around us. The
world moves slower, at a calming pace which constant stimuli robs us of. Let us experience
“boredom” so we can once again reconnect with the world and each other

Artist Bio

My name is Sherridan, I am 30 years old and I have created artwork for as long as I can remember.
My art studies have been mainly through school with a few online courses to further develop my skills.
The highlight of my achievements with my work was recently when my artwork was accepted into the Flanagan Art Prize Exhibition. Previously I had been doing commission artwork rather than selling artwork that is in styles that I want to create so I am now using this platform to sell the artwork in my own distinctive style.
My passion is for portraiture in a combination of abstract, photorealism and hyper realism styles.
I hope my artwork inspires and captivates you as you enjoy it in your homes.
