Artwork Description

The majestic Red Tailed Cockatoo displays a strong contrast of bright red and strong black against our clear blue skies. They are only found in limited locations. After years of collecting feathers, I was lucky to know someone caring for these birds who gave me the feathers. I was asked, what was I going to do with them? That inspired me to actually use them, instead of just collecting them.

Artist Bio

I knew from an earl age, that my gift was art and creativity so decided to pursue art as my career. Over my 50+ years in the arts, I have been recognised worldwide for my talent.
I originally gained my qualification in Graphic Design (before computers), to have a regular income while painting for pleasure.
I studied fine art with renowned Australian artists Frank Pash and Robert Pope as my mentors and absorbed their skills and enthusiasm.

In April1988 I was invited to submit a painting to an auction,"A Bid for Human Rights" in Los Angeles at "Michael Jackson's" home. Attending and having my work of art in an exhibition in Michael Jackson's home was my highlight and my artwork featuring an Australian barren landscape was hanging alongside master pieces from Picasso- Buste D'Homme and Degas- Femme Nu S'Essuyant
Returning to Australia, to build on the momentum of the LA exhibition, I held an exhibition in many mediums in June 1989 at Territory of Colours Gallery on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

Now I am immersing in sharing my art with the world.
