This artwork was created a few years after we moved to Australia.I just couldn't get the Atrican animals out of my head and began producing these watercolours. They are made on thick watercolour paper which I stretched on a board with tape beforehand. The colour is laid down first and allowed to dry and then the finer details are completed with a black ink pen. Each work takes me back to my homeland but also allows me to leave it behind. They are framed in coloured double mounted cardboard under glass in sturdy wooden frames. They reflect the colours of Africa and would add a little piece of that mysterious continent to your home.
