This canvas had many lives. What I love about acrylics is that if something doesn’t work out, you can always try again and work on it. There are quite a few layers underneath that painting and nothing was working out quite right but then I used the same method of working loosely and squeezing paint directly onto the canvas, et voila!
You can see some of earlier layers still underneath and it only makes it all the more interesting.
Its signed on the back, so you can decide which way you prefer to hang it, depending on your space.

Born in Austria, Sibylle Zinnocker has been immersed in creativity since childhood.
Her artistic journey began with a deep love for colours and a passion for hands on creativity, which lead her to study at HBLA für Künstlerlische Gestaltung in Linz. There, she spent five years honing her skills in textile design, printing, visual arts, woodwork, metalwork, and art history. She graduated in 2001 with a solid foundation in artistic expression.

After relocating to Australia and working in a career outside the arts, Sibylle eventually rediscovered her passion for painting in 2020 through an abstract painting workshop. Since then, she has dedicated herself to exploring the limitless possibilities of abstraction, using art as a means of self-expression, mindfulness, and creative freedom.

Sibylle draws inspiration from nature, particularly the emotional and psychological impact of colour. Her process is intuitive—beginning with a chosen palette, she applies paint spontaneously, allowing the composition to evolve organically. Often working quickly, she embraces an element of unpredictability, finding beauty in spontaneity and the unknown. This approach transforms each piece into a journey of discovery, where the final artwork remains a delightful surprise, even to her.

Now working towards her dream of a full-time art career, Sibylle remains committed to maintaining art as her sanctuary—where creativity flourishes without constraint.
